Welcome to my shame. When I was younger, I LOVED this song. I had this record, Straight Up, on casette and I listened to it all the time. I even had a Paula Abdul poster in my room.
Billy Ray Cyrus - Achy Breaky Heart
This video takes a while to get going. Also, the song I wanted to put up today was Boot Scooting Boogie, but apparently Brooks & Dunn are assholes like Billy Joel and don't want people to embed their videos. Oh well.

Maybe I'm being petty here, but Paula sounds a little pitchy when she's singing that song.

its Ok that you had the Paula Abdul record I actually had the tape. However, I didn't actually buy it someone gave me a gift certificate to a music store (remember them) and I thought that I'd like to hear what she sounded like. Unfortunately, I was disappointed I gave the tape to Sara she might still have it somewhere.
I actually liked the Steve Miller Band until Abracadabra song came out "abracadabrra I want to reach out and grab ya " oh please. Anyway, congratulations on you thesis reading and hope the education serves you well in the future.
