Coup De Mustache

On Tuesday, MNSU held their student government elections. Of course I voted, but I made it kind of fun for myself, and hopefull others.

See, last year, on a whim, I tried to get Bronson elected to the Communications Board in the student government. I didn't really campaign for Bronson, and Bronson didn't ask to get involved, I drafted him into political service. Thing is, Bronson only lost by 4 votes (the winner had 8).

This year, I sent out a mass e-mail trying to get three MFA'ers elected as write in candidates for three different spots. I drafted Mattie Vercant, Jorge, & Clisbee into service, and thankfully they played along and tried to get votes for themselves too.

The cool thing...it worked. I know Mattie Vercant was elected. I don't know if Jorge or Clisbee won a seat.

I don't know what kind of responsibilities Mattie will have, or what kind of voting strength he will have, but if he could somehow drum up money for BER or other MFA causes, then I think it could be very good.
