Friends,
Got a phone call this morning from job number two, the rent payer. I start training next Wednesday, July 23. After a week or so of training, I start a crappy work schedule of Wednesday through Sunday, 1:15pm to 9:45pm. But, I get paid extra money for working on the weekend, so I'll take it.
I still haven't heard from the UW job I interviewed for, or any of the other places I've applied to. I'm going to chase after job at WPR that seems like another call center job, but it pays more, seems a little more interesting, and is on campus so I could take the bus to get there.

One of my best friends' dad said this particular piece of wisdom... sometimes the best time to find a better job is when you have a job. (Not saying that rent-paying jobs aren't good jobs) My friend always tried to relate that statement to girlfriends, but I never agreed with him.
I would bug the shit out of all the colleges around and try to pick up adjunct work. Just show up with your CV and a smile, say "Damn glad to meet ya" when you firmly shake the Chair's hand.
