Back to Madison

Friends,

Tomorrow we are traveling to Madison because Emily has an interview for a work study job on Monday. It's a decent job, downtown, easy access from campus, and hopefully well-paying. My job hunt? Huh. These full time, writing-centric positions in Madison are a wiley quarry. Soon enough, I'll start applying to, gulp, customer service jobs and the like because the rent's got to get paid. Not exactly something for the MFA Kudos page, but maybe I'll catch lightning in a bottle, and I'll get something interesting. On the plus side, a crap job where I can leave the business at the worksite may not interfere with any future essay writing that I plan to do. (Yes, Diana, you convinced me about writing essays, hopefully I'll have something for you to read soonish).

On an unrelated note, can you see the links, and extra business on the side of the blog? Nothing over there is loading for me, so I'm curious if the links, widgets, et. al. are working for everyone else.

And an another unrelated note, here's some damn funny songs from The Flight of the Conchords:

Ladies of the World

Leggie Blonde

She's So Hot

Business Time

Hiphopopatamus vs. Rhymenoceros

Bret, You Got It Going On
