Last week, there was one song I really wanted to put on that list, but I couldn't think of it. All I could remember about the video is that the guy was wearing a bluish colored suit. Then on Wednesday, I suddenly remember. "Montel Jordan!" I shouted to no one in particular. "This is How We Do It by Montel Jordan! Of course!!" Naturally, when I looked for it today, I found out that Montel Jordan doesn't want people embedding his videos, and I couldn't find a live substitute (I suspect Montel Jordan did not tour much). It's so strange to me which bands object. Like Haircut 100 doesn't want people embedding their stuff either. Bad Music Sunday is getting harder and harder because of these no embedding baloney. Anyway, without further ado, here's another Bad Music Sunday edition:
Bjork - Hunter
Tricky - Christiansands
I like Tricky for the most part. His album Maxinquaye holds up relatively well (Hell Around the Corner is still a great song). But this is no good. Not at all. You might remember this when the trip hop music fad came and went overnight.
The Smiths - This Charming Man
I know, a lot of people like The Smiths, but you know, there's only two good Smiths songs in my opinion. Girlfriend in a Coma because it's funny. And How Soon is Now. That's it.
Simon & Garfunkel - Scarborough Fair
I watched The Graduate the other day. And you know how people think that movie is really funny...it's not. It's a great movie, and it has funny moments, but just because you laugh a couple times doesn't make it a comedy. For goodness sake, Dustin Hoffman's character gets accused of raping Mrs. Robinson in that film. Sound funny to you?
Natalie Imbruglia - Torn
This is the live version. Apparently, Natalie Imbruglia doesn't want people to embed her video, too.
Natalie Merchant - Carnival
If I ever see a poster advertising her record Tigerlilly again, it will be too soon.
Toni Braxton - Unbreak My Heart
I was going to put a Natalie Cole song here for a trifecta of bad Natalie music, but I figured I should go with this one instead. I haven't had this song for Bad Music Sunday before have I? I'm not sure.

Hope you don't think less of me, but I love Christiansands. My affinity for the song may have something to do with the substance(s) I took prior to listening, though.
No, I still like it.
No, that's fine. I could see why people like that song, I just don't get it.
Oh, Bryan. Will you ever post a bad music Sunday I can completely agree with?
Jorge, probably not. I'm serious, it's a hard thing to do anymore because so many bands have kiboshed embedding music, or the only videos are by record labels who don't want embedding. Like a pretty big section of terrible country, like that Way Down Yonder on the Chatahoochee guy and Brooks & Dunn can't be embedded. So I'm left scouring and wracking my brain trying to think of stuff that will mostly work and isn't just picking on the 1980s.
