Studs Terkel, man of the oral history and one of the best names in literature, died tonight. I never had a chance to read what he wrote, though The Good War always interested me, and I really want to read his Working, which I just found out about. He's another big figure of literature passed away, and with a little Mankato connection. According to a little snippet I found online, he was the last person interviewed by the Story Corps booth in Grand Central in May. He was 96.
vaya con dios, Studs.
