Friends,
Mankato MFA'ers...who wants to start our own version of this: The Iowa Book Doctors.
It's a editing/ghostwriting service trading on the fact that they're graduates of the Iowa Writer's Workshop.
Admittedly, MNSU doesn't quite have the same prestige level as Iowa, but that doesn't mean we can't get a piece of whatever action the Iowa Book Doctors are getting. Shit, we could even undercut the price of the IBD people since we aren't Iowa grads. We could bill ourselves as graduates of "One of the Midwest's leading MFA programs" (who among us can really define "leading"?) and we get a respectable looking website going, put an advert in Poets & Writers and we'd be in business, baby.
We would need a clever name for our service. Any ideas?

Yes! We could go by M3, and see if we get sued by 3M for copyright infringement, and then parlay the publicity from the lawsuit (corporate bully picking on small company) into a higher profile in the ghostwriting/editing biz.
Genius.
Since you've got the original posted on your blog, I thought you might like this:

You might have already seen it, but I thought you'd enjoy it anyway.
I like Tom's idea. M3. But doesn't that abbreviation have something to do with Mythbusters? Like, isn't that their lab or something?
I think that's M-5.
