Another School Update & A Good Idea

Okay, here's how it is looking right now...

The Yes:
Simmons College
Denver University
University of Southern Mississippi

The No:
University of Michigan

The Silent:
University of North Carolina
University of Wisconsin
Louisiana State University

The Limbo:
University of South Carolina

The limbo is because Emily received an e-mail from the MLIS people stating that Emily was recommended for acceptance to the South Carolina graduate school, so its up to them now to decide if she gets in and when the letter arrives and so on. So, we're in South Carolina, but not in at the same time.

What's great about this is that Columbia, South Carolina...there's a lot great actually. First, there is The James Dickey Library which is awesome. I've only read a handful of poems and Deliverance, but he used to teach there, so that's pretty cool in my book. Also, they have some incredible rare books stuff, including this, this, this one (for Seth), and this.

And for me, the best part, it is within driving distance of here. Oh, I'd love to go back and say hello to Mary again.

So it's all that, and reasonably priced living quarters can be found there too. Now...only if someone there would hire me at an extremely high rate of pay...

Now, in relation to the (Mary) Flannery O'Connor link above, I found that they are trying to get Flannery O'Connor on a stamp. That sounds like a damn fine idea to me. Here's a link where you can learn more about the stamp selection process. And here's a link to the form letter The Andulasia Foundation would like you to send...though if you impassioned it up some, I can't image they'd mind.
