Dear Lost (Spoilers)

Come on!

What kind of cliffhanger...friggin "I changed my mind" what the hell..."let's go talk for 5 minutes" while I got a buddy bleeding to death with a bullet in his gut, sure, take your time, assholes...and Miles who is apparently stronger than an electromagnet powerful enough to flip a jeep...and Ben with that stabbing about as awkward and staged as a junior high version of Brutus stabbing Caesar...and if Silas Adams only needed a dead body to get back at Jacob for some fucking reason, what the hell was wrong with Jack's dad's body which has been on the island for, what, 5 seasons now...and what about Jack's dead dad who was up and walking around, shouldn't he have something to say about all this...and what about the invisible man nonsense....if Jacob can turn invisible why didn't he, you know, turn the fuck invisible to, you know, not get stabbed...and who's coming? isn't there enough fucking groups of people swarming in and around the island without another group coming or another backstab, this is turning into professional wrestling...and, hey, where the hell is Claire?...what the hell is Hugo doing in the show anymore beyond comic relief if he's not important or tied to the numbers in any way...and what the hell is up with those numbers since they were, apparently, just aribtrary Dharma Initiative nonsense and has no importance beyond that and you mean they couldn't program some kind of automatic valve...and who the fuck killed Lt. Daniels...and what's up with those spiders and Take a Shit Guy and Who the Fuck is That, am I just supposed forget about them?...and what about E.B. Farnum's kooky character?...and when did that underwater station get built, why was that forgotten about during this season?...and you mean to tell me that Egyptians were in the south Pacific?...

Damn this show. Damn it to hell.

When does Season 6 start?

Last night was the first time I ever watched. Did you catch the preshow?--where those guys (the writers, I guess) summarized some of the past events. Well, I watched that, too. And I still couldn't keep up with the happenings. So I tried to Cliff Note it via Wikipedia, and I think that would help if I could devote 15 hours over to memorizing who is who. But still. Something must have intrigued me because I watched for three hours last night.

Bryan, I'm not even excited about next season.

Diana, I don't think there is such a thing as a short cut to getting caught up on Lost. If you want to, it's probably better to just head to the library and start checking out the seasons, or maybe even Netflixing them. I can't place why this show has me hooked so bad either, but it does. I think part of it is that supposedly there is a plan to end it and next season is the last season so I want to see how it's going to be tied up. I know it will be unsatisfying because how can it be, the last bite of the cake is never as good as the first ...but I want to finish this cake.

Dan, I hear you, but I just gotta know. Even though I know I'm being jerked around anymore, especially with this sudden realization of another mystery group that was toting Locke's body around, or maybe that was Widmore's posse, but, dammit, I'm gonna ride this one out.

Maybe JJ Abrams was too busy with the Star Trek movie (GO SEE IT!) to care about Lost this season?

Season 5 left me a little frustrated. I didn't like the whole time traveling crap.

But I'm with you - I've invested five season into the show, so I'm going to ride it out. I miss seasons 1 & 2 when it was much more about the characters and not the crazy science/time traveling crap. I'm hoping it goes back to that.

I'm with you, Bronson. What drew me into the show the first two seasons were the characters. Because so many premise questions went unanswered during the first three seasons, the writers have gone away from the characters and have concentrated on explaining all the shenanigans. I'm too invested in the show to give up at this point.

Did anyone notice that Jacob was reading O'Connor's Everything That Rises Must Converge when Locke was pushed from his dad's window?

And, you know, I just watched a little of season one...they had the smoke monster knocking down trees. When was the last time that sombitch knocked down a tree? And it was making different noises too for that matter.
